GUTSY SHOW: Afiq Ikhwan Yazid, 17 years old had won the Champion in MeritusGP. He battled a fever to deliver a stunning double victory in Round Three of the Formula Masters China Series at the Ordos International Circuit in the Inner Mongolia region of China over the weekend.
"Race Two was a good one for me. I started on pole and was able to control the race. I made a slight mistake in lap two but after that the tyres got better and I was able to set three laps of under one minute and 44 seconds." Afiq said.
Afiq leads the championship with 106 points, ahead of India's Raj Bharath of the Meco Motorsport team on 83 and Wright, who has 79 points.
