The English National Badminton Championships had decided to move from Manchester to Milton Keynes next year after the final decision.
The 2014 badminton competition will be the first major sporting event at the new Arena MK and Governing body Badminton England is planning a truly new 22 millions (in pound) centre at the National Bowl.
In addition, Rajiv Ouseph (an English badminton player of Malayali descent) had won a sixth consecutive title subsequently earlier this year at the venue and he will be in MK to preserve his title from 7-9 February 2014.
However, Adrian Christy had mentioned that: "It was a right time to move back and we were inundated with towns and cities around the whole country and for the purpose in wanting to host the championships, but fortunately at the end of the day we were keen to bring the nationals to our home"
