Joo Ven's was stumbled in 100PLUS Asian Junior boys' singlels. However, Soo Teck
Zhi was on top of his game as he advanced to the semi-finals in Kota Kinabalu
yesterday.

Ven, the second seed, was shocked 21-23, 21-17, 21-11 in 71 minutes by ninth
seed Jin Jeon Hyuk of South Korea in the quarter-finals.
It
was a sad end for Joo Ven who was runner-up in last year's tournament and has
been targeting to secure the title this year.
Teck
Zhi didn't face any problems as he secured a comprehensive 21-15, 21-12 win
over Zhao Junpeng of China in just 26 minutes.

Zhi faces an acid test when he takes on top seed Thammasin Sittikom of
Thailand, who defeated Mostafa Ihsan Maulana of Indonesia 21-15, 21-12, in the
semi-final clash today.
